After Knowledge Seminar - 1 류영재, Youngjae, Ruy sustainvestment

I am required to attend Knowledge Seminar once a month to be qualified for going to WKF.
This time, two speakers were invited to address. One was a representative in sustainvest and the other CEO of Genesis Corp. known for BBQ.

According to the definition from Oxford dictionary "Sustainable" means able to be maintained at a certain rate or level. Hence without any further input, it is itself maintained. Especially this has something to do with environment. Environment has lost its self cleansing action of nature mainly caused by long history of industrialism.


Became a global issue in effort to prevent Global Warming, governments firstly in advanced countries took a step to lower its CO2 level with strict regulatinos in industry and trade. And the rest of the world will follow its regulation in order for their own economic growth and good relationship with customers.

In our country, Korea, sustainable growth is chiefly concentrated on GREEN. Since it is driven by government, private and public sectors all put their resource only in environment. What's worse is, due to unique Korean people nature called pot willing? which means they get agitated for certain issue and forget gradually as time goes by, impact after announced is diminishing.

For sustainable growth brodear approach is necessary. As the speaker said, I think education will contribute to this effectively. However the effect will appear very very very slowly. Why? as we all know, not only is knowlede itself not easy to accumulate, but diverse aspect might be necessary to take an action. What the speak put importance in sustainable growth was Noblesse Oblige.

Are intelligent people in korea a rule model? Do Those from SKY line(Initials from TOP 3 univ in korea; Seoul, Yonsei, and Korea) work harder for society? From his past experience, it's not. Sustainable growth rests with YOU! young, passanate, and walking with others!! This will be our responsiblity and only way to better welfare society.

Lastly, what he defined sustainable management are
1. to consider up to grandchild
2. to consider impact beyond income
3. loving beyond good to great
4. not only shareholder but stakeholder
5. 3Ps; Profit,People, and Planet.
